I am really excited to finally be putting together the prints for my supporters who helped me get to Guatemala last year for my first project with Photographers Without Borders. I was on assignment for PWB to document the amazing people of Long Way Home, a nonprofit organization in Comalapa, Guatemala.
It was a life-changing experience for me to be even a small part of such a huge project.
First, I have to thank Danielle, Nicole, and Suzanne from PWB for having faith in me and for setting me up for success with this opportunity.
Second, I want to say that Genevieve, Robin, and Mateo from LWH were the best possible team to collaborate with, and I will never forget your kindness or the lessons you taught me.
To the students, families, faculty, my host family, staff, and volunteers at the school; I will never forget you. Your hard work, dedication, love, and above all else; your smiles are forever in my memory. I am a better person because I met each one of you.
Lastly, to all of the people who donated to this project on my behalf, I thought of each of you on every step of this journey. The simple fact that you showed interest in something I was doing would have been enough, but helping me raise thousands of dollars is more than I could have hoped for. I appreciate all the support you gave me before, during and after my trip, and I hope to have the chance to repay you someday.
I am also thrilled to announce that I was recently selected for my second project with PWB, and I am headed to Botswana this spring! Please visit the following link to learn more about my next adventure: https://grouprev.com/PWBFundraiser-young1ove
THANK YOU EVERYONE! I AM MORE THAN BLESSED TO HAVE YOU IN MY LIFE.
